I had an opportunity to video the first "Coffee with the Mayor" with new Mayor Mike Cooper. Held at the Covington Trailhead in a relaxed setting; it gave everyone a chance to get to know our Mayor on a more personal level. In this video the Mayor talks about the Columbia Street Block Parties; and how the great events bring revenue into the City for business owners and how he wants to continue on with it's success and build upon it for future growth.

Just a little video with Covington, LA's Mayor Mike Cooper. The Covington Office of Economic Development has been changed to the Office of Cultural Affairs and Events with the help of Amy Faucheux. Also the Covington Trailhead is having its annual "Rocking the Rails" free concerts starting this Fall, and these events will be advertised through the City of Covington's webiste and on Facebook too! Hope to see you there. I sure do love the cooler weather during Fall in Louisiana… 🙂
Thank You

This is a short video taken at Mayor Cooper's first "Coffee with the Mayor;" a relaxed and open question and answer type session with Covington's new Mayor. Showing he is available, with an open door policy, Mayor Cooper invites everyone to visit The Covington Museum, open to visitors and citizens alike, this museum portrays some of the culture and history of Covington, as well some of the wondeful features the City has to offer. Check it out. We are working on more videos now.

Video of Mayor Mike Cooper's "Coffee with the Mayor." In this video he welcomes everyone to enjoy the benefits of the Covington Trailhead. Several City Councilmen were there this morning; At Large Members Lee Alexius and Sam O'Keefe, as well District D Councilman Larry Rolling. Also there were several members from the Covington Police, Fire and Public Works.
Covington is a warm, (no pun intended… I really do enjoy the humidity…lol) friendly place to live and grow up. Covington has alot of charm and character. A student from old River Forest and a graduate of St Pauls High School, my family and I have lived here for almost 40 years. I can remember when the Pizza Man was on Boston St, next to the record store. OMG! Did I say record? What is that? BTW Eat at the Pizza Man on Collins Blvd! You will not regret it. Awesome food and a very friendly atmosphere. Anyway, check out the video, good Lord willing there are beaucoup more to come.
Thank You

I was able to take this video in July 2011, (wow the heat…) with our new Mayor of Covington; Mike Cooper. His "Coffee with the Mayor," is an excellent way for residents to have an informal conversation with him in a very relaxed setting, (munching on scones and drinking coffee). 🙂 In this particular video, Pam lays down the ground rules before introducing Mayor Cooper. More to come…

Pulled together, by Tammany Together! 5 St Tammany Mayors were assembled and I happened to bring a video camera. One of the five Mayors to attend the meeting is Peter Gitz of Madisonville. I wish I would have been able to edit more video of Mayor Gitz, however his voice was so low it was futile. Even in this video, through which Mayor Fitzmorris of Abita Springs and Mayor Gitz discuss the number of gas customers in each municipality, it is a little hard to understand him. Sorry Mayor Gitz…
Well… I have enjoyed the beautiful riverfront in Madisonville many times and good Lord willing, may do so again. Many times!! Laissez les bon temps roulez!
Thank You

4/18/11, The Tammany Together Association asked Mayors from across St Tammany to attend an informal presentation and question and answer session. In this video, Mayor Fitzmorris of Abita is asked about how his city feels about incorporating police through the STPSO and fire through the Parish fire districts, and hence the effects on the budget? Hope you enjoy.
