127 homes sold in Mandeville and Madisonville during the month of July, 2013, which is right in the money with the 127 homes sold during the month of June. This is great news, however I see a potential drop off as we get to the end of Summer, especially as schools go back into session.

Please see the attached 5 Year Real Estate study concerning Mandeville, LA home sales during the period January 2008 through September 2013. Early on, from 2008 to 2009, for almost 6 months there were losses from the previous year, however since that time, from 2010 forward, there have slow, but steady increases in home sales over the past several years. Not every month has kept an even keel over this time, however when you look at the majority of the numbers, you will be able to see the volume of homes sold on a month to month basis has increased for the past several years. This is great news for the real estate community in Mandeville. A higher volume of sales means decreased inventory. Less inventory means limited supply and therefore higher demand. 79 homes sold in the Covington, Abita Springs, and Folsom area for the month of March 2013; which is a very nice sharp increase from the 52 homes sold during the previous month of February. Looks like things are starting to loosen up. Hopefully 2013 will be a great year.

The number of homes sold over a 5 year period compared, side by side, on a monthly basis. I believe there are signs of improvement. The numbers are better, month to month. Good Lord willing the trend continues.
