At these markets you can find locally grown vegetables, arts and crafts, such as Artwork, birdhouses, jewelry, and furniture. As well, garden variety plants for your home, tomatoes and other veggies and flowering plants too. In some cases there is live music. I, as the Veterinarian of the St. Tammany Humane Society in Covington , Louisiana , am proud to be the harbinger of exciting news. We would like you to read the following as an as a caring community member. The St. Tammany Humane Society needs your help in a very real and rewarding way. This will not cost you a cent. After several grueling months of competition, the St. Tammany Humane Society is in 2nd place in a national contest to win a million dollar shelter makeover (Until yesterday we were #1)! We have an actual chance of winning this contest with the hopes of building a brand new shelter (remember we are a no-kill shelter, so a bigger facility is sorely needed).
