Pictures of Rebuilt Homes in the Ninth Ward, New Orleans, LA
Rebuilt homes in the 9th Ward. I think these are the Brad Pitt homes. Not sure. They are some pretty cool designs, and I can attest from standing near them, they look sturdy, high off the ground. I like the fact some of them use solar panels too. Anyway, about to list a property about 4 blocks from here and wanted to take the pictures when I had the chance. Hope you like.

Wildlife Research in Louisiana
The LSU Ag Center just posted another good article about wildlife research here in LA. What I found the most interesting was the mention of "game ranching" in LA, with white-tailed deer as the farm crop. I had a client mention to me, maybe two weeks ago, that if she had the choice of ground deer meat, right along side ground beef, at her local grocery store, she would buy it every time. And I would have to agree. Ted Turner ranches bison. I know elk ranches exist. This is good meat, and I believe healthier for us as well. I like the idea.

Owning a Louisiana Christmas Tree Farm
The LSU Ag Center has a good article on owning a "cut your own" Christmas tree farm. I could see myself doing something like that. Might even be fun.
