This list is current as of April 12th, 2009. In the last 6 weeks there has been a decrease in the number of REO homes on the market in St Tammany. Which means people are purchasing these REOs at a faster rate than the banks are putting them on the market. What I am seeing is St Tammany weathering this economic crisis at an above average state, and the REOs which are coming on the market are seen as the best deals to be had, and therefor scooped up quick. However, if the property in question needs repairs or renovations to get it in a livable condition, beware. Some banks are requiring these repairs/renovations to be completed before they will underwrite the loan, definitely causing a hiccup through the purchase process.
