NABOR's Annual Chili Challenge" Northshore Area Board of Realtors is partnering with a local non-profit organization, ACCESS (Adapting and Changing Children’s Environments with Successful Solutions), to host the 3rd Annual Boo Fest on Saturday, October 27th on the grounds of Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. The event benefits and serves children with disabilities and their families, but is open to children of all abilities. Based on past attendance, this popular event is expected to attract more than 8,000 people this year! ACCESS is chaired by Aaron M. Karlin, MD.

The 2012 Chef's Soiree was held in the Bogue Falaya Park located in Covington, Louisiana. There were many local restaurants on hand providing delicious food and desserts for all. The Hornets Buzz Patrol was on hand giving away prizes as well. There were many local celebrities including, Sports Reporter and voice of the Saints, Jim Henderson; Fox 8 Weatherman, Bob Breck; Fox 8 Reporter, Rob Masson and former Saints player, Rich Mauti. The Chef's Soiree is an annual event put on to benefit the Youth Service Bureau.

Free Friday concerts provided by the City of Mandeville held at the Mandeville Trailhead on Lafitte Street. These concerts run from March 11, 2011 – April 16, 2011. The April 16th show featured Victor LaRocca opening for Kingsroe. The admission is free with food and drinks available for purchase through vendors. Hope you enjoy.

Abita Springs, Louisiana was originally an Indian Village which was settled for it’s natural springs water. And… Uhhh… Ummm… Today… They make some pretty darn good beer with it. 🙂

Ohhh my goodness!!! I love BBQ! Talk about bringing people together… Cochon de Lait. I had to post this BBQ Cookoff due to the fact I think everyone within 200 miles should go to this event. They may run out of butt but what you do get will be darn good… 🙂 Mmmmmmmmm.

An absolute fantastic time, and an excellent event. I personally was not able to make it this year, however I have been in the past and if you do plan on going, fast for a few days so you may eat as much as you possibly can… 🙂
