This is actually a little video I took during foaling season last year in 2010. I was rummaging through some files on my desktop and I came across these videos and wanted to make sure I posted. If you are like me, I get a kick in the behind out of stuff like this. I have always enjoyed working around animals.

As well I have this short video where the Mother almost makes contact with the camera as she gets curious as to what I am doing. This is a precious little colt who is only 1 day old in these pictures. This video was also taken in early 2010, during last year’s foaling season.

I was not at the farm went this guy was born, however I was told he was a large baby and took a bit of time to finally make it out. If you see him in person he does look abnormally large for a baby. I do not want to give him a complex… 🙂 He is beautiful I can tell you that; and looks like he if gonna be a fast runner.

This little colt is actually the second foal I helped deliver, however there were complications with the first one and unfortunately the little guy did not survive. However, this beautiful little colt foaled at Generations Thoroughbreds Farm in Franklinton last Sunday morning was delivered in no time at all, we / they had to keep him warm throughout the night since it was so cold that night. (I went home and to bed eventually 🙂 ) However the whole experience was an absolute blast for me, and he is doing just fine now and is almost a week old. I may post more video of him later. I am not sure. There are currently six more babies to go… 🙂

I took these videos not to far from Global Wildlife Center, around Cranky Corner way. This yearling colt is being weened from it's Mother's side, and he is not very happy about it. He calms down without any problem, and really only acted up if she whinnied. Both of these videos are fairly short I think. Beautiful day and a beautiful horse, hope you enjoy.

A beautiful baby colt, born in Franklinton. What a glorious site! He is about 20 hours old here and still a little wobbly on his feet. Foaled 2/26/10 at Generations Thoroughbreds, Highway 450.
