Here are just a few tips for anyone taking pictures of a home they are attempting to sell. I found these to be useful and wanted to make sure I shared this information.
Lets start Outdoors first:
Cut the grass! Clean the yard. Make sure you have all your garbage removed from the curb. Rake up any leaves. Weed your flower beds, prune bushes… Make sure your landscaping is in a trimmed and neat manner. This goes for your backyard too. Don't just make sure front yard looks appealing.
Make sure to remove your car from the picture, pull it into the garage or park it in your neighbor's driveway for a few minutes while you take the pictures.
Now for the Indoors:
Open up all of your blinds. Make sure you can see into and out of your home as you are snapping away.
Make sure every lightbulb in your home is working, and please replace the ones which are not working and they are lit up for the photos.
Make sure your home is clean! I cannot stress this enough. We all understand a little mess, however make the best attempts. Let your home show itself well through its cleanliness. Epecially when you are snapping pictures worth a 1000 words.
For the short and the sweet, these are some good tips. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods, good luck and happy hunting.
Thank You
Marc
