Here is an update provided by The Time Picayune and NOLA.com of the St Tammany Parish School Board's projects. Interesting read. I am looking forward to the new school on 1088. Good schools generate growth. Families. Prosperity. I am glad Archbishop Hanna High School relocated here. People have and will move here just for the schools.

"When you see what real dark skies are like without light pollution it triggers something."
I grew up on 10 acres in the woods. On a dead end gravel road. No street lights, nothing but the stars above. There is so much beauty in the night sky it is humbling. I have seen over a hundred shooting stars, as well, on the cold nights, when the air is clear, the stars damn near speak to you. You can almost touch them. The Milky Way stretches across the sky. There is alot of beauty out there we are missing, just by not looking at our night sky once a day/evening. <—- lol

I have never heard of this guy, but he actually invented the floppy disk, as well the basics of the CD and DVD according to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshiro_Nakamatsu
He states he licensed the floppy disk to IBM in the late 70s, and IBM says they have an ongoing relationship with him. He seems eccentric though. Over 3000 inventions. Only big in Japan though? I wonder why?
