Real Estate, News, and Information, for St Tammany Parish LA
Here are a few pictures of a baby squirrel one of my dogs found near my home in Folsom. I Googled "raising baby squirrels" first thing and learned a few things, one of them being you have to go back and see if Momma is looking for her Baby. Give her about 2 – 3 hours, if not then comes the fun part of raising. Lucky for me I have a friend whom works for St Tammany Animal Services and so the young one is in good capable hands. He is lightning fast… Hard to get a good pic. 🙂

I am asking you to support a very important and dear to my heart cause. As most of you know Christopher was one of my son’s best friends and I considered him “my boy” also. We had 8 fun filled inspirational years with him and his loss has affected each of us, Trey (my son) plays baseball in honor of Christopher by wearing his embroidered initials on every uniform for every game.
On June 27, 2010, the Christopher Condon Cool Doctor Foundation will have its inaugural event, a Sundowner party from 7-9pm. The foundation is set up to honor the dream of a boy who died too soon. He wanted to go to medical school to be the “cool doctor” for children who had life-threatening diseases and the time-consuming treatments that accompany these diagnoses. Funds raised will be awarded as scholarships to individuals in the local community who have the same dream.
For the party, we are in need of donations of items such as the following:
The Christopher Condon Cool Doctor Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with Tax ID Number 27-2619132. Attached is a flyer about the event, please feel free to distribute to any other caring friends.
We are thankful for your consideration and support. For more information or to make a donation, please use the contact information provided below.

About Guitars In The Classroom Guitars in the Classroom inspires, trains and equips general classroom teachers and specialists to integrate music and music making across the academic curriculum through “song-based instruction” so students of all ages have the opportunity to learn through making music together in class, everyday. Our work prepares and supports educators to lead the way competently and confidently, employing music as a powerful tool for reaching all learners, teaching all subjects, and building character and community in their classrooms.
GITC programs are free to teachers. They include “easy” group guitar, singing, song-leading and collaborative songwriting instruction on an ongoing basis through seven sequential course levels, in accordance with educational content standards for music and academic subjects. And thanks to the generosity of GITC’s sponsors from the music products industry, teachers have free access to instruments, musical accessories, resource materials, and pedagogical support.
Guitars in the Classroom believes that strong local musical communities can support and sustain programs that allow children and youth to experience music throughout the years. Our unique, grassroots approach unites teachers, school administrators, artists, families, business people, associations, community foundations, civic organizations, and generous individuals in a common purpose- to revive and restore music to its rightful place in our schools and culture. Together, we can make a difference. For more information: www.guitarsintheclassroom.org.

Happy Easter Everyone! May the Good Lord Bless You and Your Family on this Blessed Day.
The LSU Ag Center talks about mulch. LSU Ag Center and Mulch
I know from planting many trees it is important to mulch properly. It makes a big difference in the life of a tree, especially in the early stages. Mulch retains moisture, and feeds the tree overtime. A big mistake I see a lot is the mulch is piled high around the base and trunk, looking similar to a volcano with the tree in the center. This is not good. Water runs off the piled mulch and never gets to the roots. The mulch must be spread evenly out to the drip edge of the tree, therefor acting as a retention basin for water falling from the tree itself. Now is a good time to plant trees, early spring before they really get a chance to wake up.
Good luck any green thumbs out there.
Thank You
Marc
I like where he talks about the confidence coming from winning. Knowing you coach right. Knowing your program is right. I disagree with the statement, "with winning comes pressure", what to repeat? With winning comes patience and peace. A silent confidence. Next year is gonna be a good year for the Saints.
