I own two condominiums in Kingspoint Village in a modest section of Slidell near Old Spanish Trail. One is about 1000 square feet with two bedrooms; and the other is about 900 square feet with one bedroom and a loft. The fair market values for these properties have been set at $204,600 and $244,130 respectively. This appraisal is so far above the market value that I am convinced no one in authority has actually visited the site. I would be thrilled if I could sell both properties for $140,000.
I have spent a long time trying to find out how I can have the properties visited by someone in the tax assessor’s office. I am seventy three and not very skilled. Is there any one reading this who can help me? My email address is wlongstr@cox.net.

The time period ended October 16th, though. Here is the information for the local office in Slidell.

I also know they can have assessment freezes on property owned by Senior Citizens, due to set income. Maybe this is an option for you.
